Within the American Muslim community since the 9-11 incidents, there have been issues of a heightened personal identity, issues of individual and group security and the way American Muslims have been influenced and affected. A high school senior attending the private Al Noor School in Brooklyn, NY, was 7 or 8 years old when the WTC attack took place. Each student's life and their families have been sensitized. The effort here is to spotlight and magnify the positive aspects of what the Muslim community is doing to reinforce the process of cultural and political assimilation.
