Brent Stirton Wins 2 World Press Photo Awards

We're thrilled to announce that Reportage photographer Brent Stirton has won two awards at World Press Photo 2012!

He was awarded the Contemporary Issues 1st prize single photo for his photo of Maria, a drug addict and sex worker in the Ukraine, who he photographed as part of his project on HIV/AIDS there. You can view the feature on our site by clicking here.

He was also awarded the Nature 1st prize story for his work 'Rhino Wars' in South Africa for National Geographic magazine, which is coming soon to Reportage. To view a gallery of that work on the World Press Photo web site, click here.

In addition, Getty Images staff photographers John Moore and Adam Pretty were award 2nd prizes in the People In The News stories, and Sports stories categories respectively.
