Photo District News (PDN), the leading photo magazine for professional photographers, has named Jeff Hutchens as one of its 30 annual "Emerging Photographers to Watch".

As a result, the Rochester Institute of Technology invited Jeff to present work and offer career insight to students on October 1st. Holly Hughes, editor of Photo District News, served as the panel moderator. Also on the panel was David McLain, a Sony Artisan of Imagery, and Whitney Lawson, photo editor at Travel + Leisure magazine.

Additionally, Jeff has been featured on Kodak's "A Thousand Words" blog and provided photos for Kodak's homepage.

Jeff Hutchens was born in Lansing, Michigan in 1978. The son of an American diplomat, he spent his childhood throughout the U.S. and across China, South Africa, and the Philippines. Jeff has shot professionally on six continents, where he's faced grizzly bears, lava floes, Komodo dragons, and all manner of corrupt officials. From work on the surreality of life in China, to documenting underground epidemics in the jungles of central Africa, and photographing polar bears in the Arctic Circle, he captures images that convey transcendent moods and subtle beauty.
