ASME Award for Photojournalism for "Who Murdered the Virunga Gorillas?".
The American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) is a non-profitprofessional organization for editors of print and online magazineswhich are edited, published and distributed in the U.S. Established in1963, ASME currently has about 850 members nationwide. Among otherthings, ASME works to preserve editorial independence and speaks out onpublic policy issues, particularly those pertaining to the FirstAmendment.
