National Geographic Television's "Explorer: Gorilla Murders",
photographed by Reportage photographer Brent Stirton, has won an Emmy
Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism-Long Form.
National Geographic Television's President Michael Rosenfeld noted that
"Gorilla Murders" was an NGM/NGT collaborative effort. "Our filmmakers
took what was a great magazine story and turned it into great
television," Michael said. "It's gratifying that the Emmy judges
recognized it as one of the best documentaries of the year."
