National Geographic and India Tourism recently presented a weekend of food, fashion, handicrafts, music and photography in downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood, California.
The photo exhibition, featuring the photography of Palani Mohan, was first presented at California Plaza in an unprecedented format. The first event of its kind at this location, the images were featured on 10'X 8' sized banners that hung between the huge pillars that adorn the plaza. The photos were lit at night and created a beautiful atmosphere.
The Hollywood Bowl, one of the premiere outdoor performance spaces in the United States, was the site of a massive crafts and travel fair and presentation of Indian culture. National Geographic and India Tourism presented performances to an audience of more than 15,000 and Palani's photos were featured, enlarged to more than 15' high and presented on the museum walls, in the Hollywood Bowl's first outdoor presentation of photography.
